1)  Safety:  Approved driver's side window net with quick-release mechanism attached to roll cage is mandatory.  Driver must be able to enter/exit through both door window openings.  Driver must be able to see out rear window.  It is mandatory that driver's helmet meet 1985 snell or more recent standards, and that drivers wear driving suits of fire resistant material that effectively covers the body from neck to ankles and wrist.  It is highly recommended that drivers wear complete full coverage fire resistant underwear and mandatory full coverage fire resistant gloves.  All cars will be equipped with a 3 inch wide seat belt, two piece shoulder harness and crotch strap with metal-to-metal central release.  It is mandatory that all drivers use safety neck brace (horse collar).  This system must be located directly behind driver's head with driver seated normally.  5# minimum fire extinguisher is mandatory.  All cars must be equipped with a  working starter.

2)   Battery:  Must not be located in the driver's compartment.

3)  Brakes:  Working disc brakes mandatory on all 4 wheels.  Steel rotors mandatory.  No brake floaters allowed.

4)  Carburetor:  1 11/16" #4412 Holley - 2 bbl on cast iron or aluminum intake.  A maximum of 1" thick carburetor adapter plate.

5)  Clutch:  Cars not having a reduce-diameter racing clutch assembly must have a steel scatter shield.

6)  Drive Shaft:  Metal straps, a minimum of 2, are to be located at the front and rear of the driver shaft to prevent it from dropping onto the track.  Driver shaft must be painted white.

8)  Exhaust:  Manifolds or headers.  Mufflers mandatory - 100 decibel requirement.

7)  Engine Size and Location:  Engines may be interchanged.  Number 1 spark plug must be in line with or ahead of upper ball joint (+ or - ) 5“.     No aluminum blocks.    Oil pump internal (inside) of engine.  Aftermarket oil pans allowed.  0” - 5” max. motor set back.  No dry sump systems.  No aluminum heads in limited late model cars.

9)  Firewall:  Sealed firewall mandatory.

10)  Frame:  A minimum wheelbase of 102".  A North American factory production front stub which incorporates a lower and upper control arm in it design.  Body style does not have to match front stub section.  The front frame section must remain stock to the eye and stock dimensionally with only approved modification.  "Front frame" is defined as the main frame that is 21" behind the center of the front spring and forward of that point.  Lower A-frame mounts must remain in stock position.

11)  Approved Modifications:

  1. Clearance for the fuel pump.
  2. Clearance for changing springs.
  3. Clearance for steering shaft.
  4. Upper A-frame mounts may be changed to accept tubular A-frames.
  5. Stock motor mounts may be replaced
  6. Stock stabilizer mounts may be replaced
  7. Load bolt mounts may be installed.
  8. Cross member may be altered between the lower A-frame mounts for oil pan clearance only.

Rear may be fabricated of 2"x2" minimum, 2"x3" recommended, minimum .095 thickness.

ANY DEVIATIONS FROM THESE RULES WILL BE SUBJECT TO WEIGHT PENALTIES!

12)  Fuel Pump:  No electric pumps allowed.

13)  Tires:  Must run all 4 tires the same - American Racer P265-60 or P60-265, 8" tires.  No soaking of tires allowed.

14)  Fuel System:  Gasoline only.  No Nitrous Oxide systems allowed.  Fuel cells mandatory - must have steel containers.  Fuel cells minimum 8" ground clearance.  No fuel lines within the driver's compartment.  Gas caps secured by means of chain to the car.

15)  Windshield:  Full windshields and full rear window mandatory.  No plexiglass.  No mirrors allowed.

16)  Hoods:  Must be securely fastened.  There must be two (2) hood pins across the front.  Subject to track inspection.  Air cleaners are mandatory.

17)  Ignition:  Factory style electronic ignition system only.  No crank trigger systems allowed.  No multiple coils.  Magnetos allowed.  MSD Factory style system allowed.

18)  Radiators:  Any type may be used providing it does not alter the hood or body sheet metal.  All radiators must be mounted in front of the engine and must not protrude through the hood.  Over flow catch can is mandatory.

19)  Rear Axle:  Quick-change rear-ends allowed.  Floaters recommended.

20)  Roll Cage:  There must be four (4) bar cage, minimum, with three (3) bars, minimum, across the driver's door that must be tied together in the center.  Driver's door must have a 24"x24"x1/8" steel plate mounted outside bars between roll cage and door skin and mounted in such a way as to protect the driver's body.  There must be a minimum of one (1) bar on the passenger side.  No less than 1 3/4" O.D. tubing, .095 thickness for entire roll cage.  NO TOLERANCE - NO GALVANIZED PIPE.  Car must be equipped with front and rear frame hoops of 1 1/2" O.D. minimum size ahead and behind driver's compartment.

21)  Shocks:  One shock per wheel - racing shocks are allowed.  No air shocks allowed. Coil over shocks allowed; aluminum shocks allowed.

22)  Starters:  All cars must be equipped with a starter that is in good working order at all times.

23)  Suspension:  5" and smaller spring.  Tubular upper A arms optional.  No driver operated weight transfer devices allowed.  No aluminum A-frames or spindles allowed.  Rack and pinion steering allowed.  Lower A arm OEM only - must be mounted OEM style.  No traction control devices.

ANY DEVIATIONS FROM THESE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO WEIGHT PENALTIES AT TRACK OFFICIAL'S DISCRETION!

24)  Transmission:  Any transmission, manual or automatic.  All cars must have operation reverse gear and a minimum of two forward gears.

25)  Wheels:  8" steel wheels, reinforced or made for racing.  Wide 5's are allowed.  Aluminum center hubs allowed.  Aftermarket hubs allowed.

26)  Wrecker hooks absolutely mandatory, front and rear.

27)  Weight:  Added weight must be in plain sight, painted white and have car number on it in a contrasting color.  No cement, mercury or liquid style weight.  Weight must be mounted with a minimum of two (2) 1/2" bolts and nuts and must be attached to car securely.  No driver operated weight transfer devices allowed.

28)  General Body Rules:  Bodies must be neat appearing.  Driver must be separated from engine, fuel cell and fuel and oil systems by metal firewall.  Floor pan in driver's compartment must be steel and welded in.  No rudders or sideboards.  No flat side or roofs.  No square corners.  No 90 degree panels.  Numbers of a color contrasting with that of the car will appear on both doors and will be 18" high with a minimum 4" stroke.

A minimum of 13" of the side panel and/or rear window of the roof must run parallel to the door; after that point it may begin a uniform radius matching that of the rear window and meeting all other diagrammed dimensions.

29)  Deck Lid:  The top surface of the deck lid must not be dished.  There should be no area of deck lid lower than the height at the top of the quarter panels.

30)  Fenders:  A minimum of 1/2" radius is required on the tops of the fenders.  No 90 degree breaks permitted.  The rear fender flap immediately behind the rear tire must gradually angle up from a minimum 8" ground clearance to minimum of 14" ground clearance at the rear to the quarter panel.  Width of rear fenders must gradually taper from the body width at the tires to the width at the rear spoiler.  (No straight quarters with an abrupt kick in just before the rear spoiler.)

31)  Front Nose:  A complete, unaltered, stock nose piece must be used.  There will be no sectioning or widening of the nose assembly.  Nose model must conform to roof.

32)  Rear Spoiler:  Must be made of a single piece of clear material 8"x68"-72" - a maximum of 3 triangular braces, 18" long.

33)  Rear filler panel:  Rear filler panel is optional.  It must be made of a solid material.  12” x body width, filler must be vertical (perpendicular to the ground) mounted to the deck lid and directly beneath the base of spoiler.

34)  Windows:  Full safety glass or Lexan front windshield as wide as the roof at the top and extending to within 6" of the sides of the body at the bottom is required.  If Lexan or equivalent material is used as a windshield, it must be at least 1/8" thick.  Full rear window must have a uniform radius from the rear roof pillar to the furthest point back.  No tear drop back window.  Rear window may not be concave or become concave on the track.

Weight            

Stock front sub cars and tubular front suspension cars - must weigh 2750 lbs  with driver before the race.

 Limited late model cars must scale at 64% left hand weight or lower, rear at 52%.

Super late model cars must scale at 60% left hand weight or lower, rear at 50%.

Super late models - Discretion of track officials to add weight to even out speed of cars in this class.
